Drivers consent to the use of telematics technology for monitoring driving behavior. See our Privacy Policy for details on data collection and usage.

14. Upfront Pricing Terms

14.1. Upfront Fare Display
When a Rider requests a trip through the Trans P Platform, the fare displayed at the time of booking (the “Upfront Fare”) is the amount the Rider will be charged for the requested trip, subject to the provisions set forth herein. The Upfront Fare is calculated using factors such as estimated distance, estimated time, demand, traffic conditions, and other applicable variables.

14.2. Binding Nature of Upfront Fare
The Upfront Fare presented to the Rider at the time of booking is binding and shall be the amount charged to the Rider for the completed trip, except in the circumstances described in Section 3 below.

14.3. Adjustments to Upfront Fare
Trans P reserves the right to adjust the Upfront Fare in the event of:
a. Material route changes requested by the Rider;
b. Additional stops requested by the Rider;
c. Significant delays caused by the Rider, including but not limited to extended wait times; or
d. Other material changes impacting the trip outside of the Driver’s reasonable control.

In such instances, the adjusted fare shall be communicated to both the Rider and Driver through the Platform.

14.4. Driver Earnings
At the time of trip acceptance, Drivers will be shown the amount of earnings associated with the trip (the “Driver Earnings”). Drivers are entitled to receive the Driver Earnings as displayed at the time of acceptance, less any applicable service fees or deductions as disclosed by Trans P.

14.5. Dynamic Pricing
Trans P utilizes dynamic pricing, which may cause fares to increase or decrease based on demand, availability of Drivers, traffic, weather conditions, and other relevant market factors. Fares are subject to change until a trip is confirmed. Once a trip is confirmed, the Rider will pay the Upfront Fare and the Driver will receive the Driver Earnings as set forth above.

14.6. No Negotiation of Fare
All fares displayed through the Platform are final and not subject to negotiation between Riders and Drivers.

14.7. Transparency Commitment
Trans P is committed to transparency in pricing. Accordingly, Riders shall pay the Upfront Fare displayed at the time of booking (as adjusted in accordance with Section 3), and Drivers shall be compensated in accordance with the Driver Earnings displayed at the time of trip acceptance (less applicable service fees).

15. Driver Conduct – Trip Acceptance & Cancellation Policy (Trans P)

15.1 Independent Contractor Status

Drivers on the Trans P platform operate as independent contractors (1099 workers).

Drivers maintain full control over:

• When they go online

• Which trips they accept

• Whether they choose to complete or cancel a trip

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit that independence.

15.2 Acceptance of Trip Requests

Drivers are free to accept or decline any trip request.

However, accepting a trip signals an intent to complete the ride in good faith and provide reliable service to the passenger.

15.3 Right to Cancel

Drivers retain the right to cancel a trip at any time, including after accepting it.

Valid reasons may include (but are not limited to):

• Safety concerns

• Passenger issues

• Vehicle issues

• Personal or emergency situations

• Changes in availability

15.4 Excessive Cancellations & Platform Misuse

While cancellations are allowed, repeated or excessive cancellations after accepting trips may indicate misuse of the platform.

Examples of concerning behavior include:

• Frequently accepting trips and canceling without valid reason

• Accepting trips without moving toward the pickup location

• Creating delays that result in passenger cancellations

• Patterns that negatively impact rider experience or platform reliability

15.5 Warning & Review Process

To maintain fairness and platform quality:

• Drivers may receive informational or formal warnings regarding cancellation patterns

• Accounts may be placed under review if behavior continues

• Drivers may be notified and given an opportunity to improve

15.6 Deactivation Policy

Trans P reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend or deactivate driver accounts if a pattern of behaviour demonstrates:

• Abuse of the acceptance/cancellation system

• Ongoing negative impact on passengers or the platform

• Bad-faith use of the app (e.g., accepting rides without intent to complete)

This is not based on isolated incidents, but rather on consistent or repeated patterns of conduct.

15.7 Platform Integrity

Drivers acknowledge that:

• Reliable service benefits all drivers by increasing rider trust and demand

• Excessive cancellations can reduce earnings opportunities across the platform

• Maintaining a dependable system is essential to Trans P’s success

15.8 Short App Version (Recommended)

You are free to accept or cancel any ride.

However, repeatedly accepting rides and cancelling them may lead to warnings or deactivation.

Trans P monitors patterns—not single cancellations—to ensure a reliable platform for everyone.
