Drivers must avoid any form of distracted driving including:
Using phones (unless hands-free and safe)
Eating
Engaging in unrelated activities
Any violation may result in immediate suspension or removal from the platform.
Drivers must report any accident within 1 hour using the TransP app.
Steps:
Open the app and tap "Report Incident"
Submit photos, a description, and a police report (if available)
Provide all involved parties’ information
The report will be reviewed by TransP and our insurance partners.
The following are strictly prohibited while operating on the TransP platform:
Delivering goods or services not authorized by TransP
Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol
Transporting illegal substances or weapons
Violations may result in permanent deactivation.
All vehicles operating on TransP must undergo an annual inspection by an ASE-certified mechanic.
Inspections must include:
Brakes, tires, and lights
Windshield and mirrors
Seatbelts and airbags
Interior cleanliness
Drivers must maintain vehicles regularly and upload inspection reports via the app.
TransP partners with Checkr to conduct background and MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) checks.
Drivers must:
Be at least 21 years old
Hold a valid driver's license
Have a clean MVR (no major violations in the past 7 years)
Pass identity verification and criminal background checks
All screenings comply with Chicago TNP regulations and applicable laws.
Trans P Telematics & Driving Behavior Monitoring Policy
To ensure the safety of our passengers and the integrity of our platform, Trans P uses telematics technology to monitor driver behavior.
What We Track:
- Location and trip data (start, stop, route)
- Speed and acceleration patterns
- Harsh braking or cornering
- Phone usage during trips
- Time and distance per ride period
Why We Track:
- To improve safety for passengers and drivers
- To provide better insurance coverage
- To reward safe driving through incentives and bonuses
- To investigate accidents or customer complaints
How It Works:
Data is captured through the driver's smartphone while the Trans P Driver App is active. This data is securely stored and used only for internal operations, insurance requirements, and safety analysis.
Your Consent:
By driving on the Trans P platform, you consent to the use of telematics and the collection of driving behavior data.
